1. The band members names are Syd Barrett (vocals and guitar), David Gilmour (vocals and guitar), Roger Waters (vocals and bass guitar), Richard Wright (keyboard and back-up vocals) and Nick Mason (Drums and Percussion).

2. They has an astral image.
3. Syd Barrett wrote and sung most of their songs.
4. The name Pink Floyd was derived from the names of two ancient bluesmen named Pink Anderson and Floyd Council.
5. The band started using loud screeches, unusual sounds, and light shows to create phychedelic effects.
6. They got a recording contract with EMI in 1967 and made it on to the top 20 with thier debut single.
7.  In mid-1967 Barrett was believed to have mental issues when he would go catatonic on stage or not playing at all,  their American tour was cut short when he could barely function.
8. In 1968 Gilmour was brought into the band and a few months later Barrett was out of the band.
9. They had huge success with the album "Dark Side of the Moon" in 1973.
10. In the 1980s the band split up for a while.
